BRINGING YOUR CLASS TO THE BREMERTON
BUG & REPTILE MUSEUM

We are excited for your visit to the Bremerton Bug & Reptile Museum!

TO SCHEDULE:

We ask that you schedule your adventure with us. Bug Museum Interior

In years past, not scheduling has led to overcrowding and less than ideal experiences for your students and our creatures. We want your young curious minds to have the best experience possible.

Please email help@bugmuseum.com two weeks prior to your visit. We are open 10-5 every day. Let us know the best date and time for you and we’ll check the calendar to make sure there are no other groups scheduled for the same time.

We are a free museum and we want to keep it that way. It is an honor to welcome everyone, no matter their financial situation. We would appreciate your donations and recommend $1 per student. We want to remain open and continue to foster interest in the natural world. We appreciate your support in educating our community about our creepy crawly friends.

CLASS CHAPERONES:

Bug Museum InteriorWe noticed class chaperones sometimes seem a bit lost or uncertain of their roles and responsibilities at our little museum. Please share this with your teachers and helpers prior to your visit. We also suggest reviewing it again when you arrive.

Role:

You are the tour guide. So it is your job to read the signage to your students (aloud if they are too young to read) and ask them questions about the creatures.
As tour guide, you must stay with your students. We recommend within 3-5 feet at all times. Why so close? To remind students not to tap on glass. This stresses our animals and insects immensely which seriously shortens their life span. This is sad and expensive. Remind them to respect and care for our creature friends.
